Cleveland (Ohio) John Adams defensive end Micah Robinson is one of the top prospects in the greater Cleveland area.  The 6-foot-4 and 240-pound Robinson registered 19 sacks during his junior season as John Adams finished with an 8-2 record.

Robinson has been a varsity starter at both defensive end and offensive tackle since his freshman year.  He is being recruited as a defensive player.

Robinson runs the 40-yard dash in 4.8 seconds and has a 29-inch vertical jump.  He stays on his feet well and is relentless in his pursuit.

When asked which schools he is interested in, Robinson quickly mentioned Penn State.

“I like Ohio State,” Robinson said.  “And I like Illinois too.  I also like Penn State.  And Cincinnati is another one I like.”

Robinson was asked specifically about Penn State.

“They had a good team this year,” Robinson said.  “I watched them on TV.  I would like to visit there.”

However, the Nittany Liosn have not been active in pursuing Robinson as yet. He is receiving mail from Ohio State, Illinois, UCLA, Buffalo, Toledo and some others.  He attended one of the Buckeyes’ home games this past season.

“I went to the Ohio State-Penn State game,” Robinson said.  “I liked it a lot.”

Robinson has not made it to any junior days to this point, but said he might attend a Toledo basketball game.
