Brothers Arie and Cyrus Kouandjio from Hyattsville (Md.) DeMatha are two of the country’s most talented prep football playing siblings.  The two were in State College this past weekend for the NIKE Football Training Camp on Penn State’s campus.

The 6-foot-6 and 300-pound Cyrus is a sophomore who played defensive tackle this past season, but will move to offensive tackle next season.  Cyrus, who has scholarship offers from Maryland and Pitt, was impressive as he went through the camp activities.

On the other hand, Arie was a spectator on Saturday.

“My coach suggested I don’t work out,” Arie said while watching his brother go through the paces.

The 6-foot-5 and 320-pound Arie played on the defensive line during his sophomore season at Beltsville (Md.) High Point.  He transferred to DeMatha and played offensive left tackle during his junior season.

Arie said he has 25 scholarship offers including Penn State, Louisiana State, Alabama, California, Michigan, Maryland, Boston College, West Virginia, Connecticut and North Carolina.

“I’m interested in all of them right now,” Arie said.  “I’ve been to Connecticut, Cal, North Carolina, Maryland and Penn State.”

Arie was not in State College that long this past weekend.  He was at the Under Armour Combine in Baltimore, Md., on Friday.  Arie then headed to Penn State with his brother.

“We looked around campus a little,” Arie said.  “It’s really nice.”

Arie has spoken to Nittany Lion assistant Larry Johnson and is well aware of Penn State’s football tradition.

“I like how much everybody cares about football at Penn State,” Arie said.  “They have 100,000 seats.  I like the coaches and the tradition.”

Arie is slated to play offensive left tackle during his senior season and Cyrus is expected to play on the other end of the DeMatha offensive line at right tackle.
