Penn State tight end target Ben Koyack from Oil City, Pa., visited Penn State on Thursday as scheduled.  The 6-foot-5 and 230-pound Koyack is one of the country’s top junior tight end prospects.

“I went with my mom, my dad and Coach (Ray) Beers and his wife,” Koyack said.  “We got a tour of the (football) office and the campus.  I had already seen the football facilities.”

Koyack met with Joe Paterno before leaving State College.

“I talked to Coach (Mike) McQueary and Joe Pa,” Koyack said.  “It went pretty good.  They said they want me to go there.  They said they are looking forward to me committing sometime in the near future.”

When asked what he liked best about his Penn State visit yesterday, Koyack said, “The campus is the perfect size.  The weight room and the indoor facility are nice too.”

Koyack attended Ohio State’s camp last Sunday.  He heads to West Virginia’s camp this Sunday.

Koyack has at least 17 scholarship offers including Penn State, West Virginia, Pitt, Florida, Wisconsin, Boston College, Maryland, Virginia Tech and North Carolina State.  His top four choices remain Penn State, Ohio State, Pitt and West Virginia.

After his visit to Penn State on Thursday, Koyack again said the Nittany Lions and Ohio State remain tied for the top spot on his list.

Koyack caught 48 passes during his sophomore season and scored 10 times.

Kurelic’s Comment:  Koyack does not seem close to selecting a college.  Unless something changes, I don’t see him making a decision before the end of the summer.

If  Ben  is  smart,  he'll  make  the  right  choice...and  go  to  "THE  OHIO  STATE."  But  If  He's  smarter...He'll  follow  Nate  Byham...and  go  to  PITT !!!
