Penn State next up for Stills

Wide receiver Kenny Stills from Encinitas (Calif.) LaCosta Canyon made an official visit to Tennessee the weekend of Sept. 12 and saw the Vols play UCLA.

At this point, Stills’ next visit will be to Penn State.  Stills will be in State College the weekend of Nov. 7 when the Nittany Lions face Ohio State.

Still also has trips set to Oklahoma the weekend of Nov. 14 when the Sooners play Texas A&M and Florida the weekend of Nov. 28 when the Gators take on Florida State.

“I’m still looking for my other visit,” Stills said.  “It’s between Washington, LSU, North Carolina, Maryland, Oregon and Colorado for my last visit.”

USC is no longer an option for Stills, the No. 37 receiver in the country according to ESPN Scouts Inc., but he is also considering West Coast-options Cal, UCLA and Stanford.

Stills has scholarship offers from all schools mentioned, as well as many others.  He said he does not have a leader.

“I’ll probably go public with my decision around the first week of December,” Stills said.

When asked about Penn State Stills said, “I think they are just waiting for my official visit.  I have the Big Ten Network so I see their games on TV.  They look great.  They definitely have not fallen on my list.”

Stills is being recruited by Penn State Assistant Coach Kermit Buggs.

The 6-foot-1 and 171-pound Stills has played a big part in his team getting off to a 3-0 start this season.  He has 12 receptions for 400 yards and five touchdowns.

Kurelic’s Comment:
Stills is playing it close to the vest.  It is almost impossible to say which way he goes, including the California schools he won’t make official visits to.  Cal, in particular, could be a real player for Stills.
