Graham comes and goes

The Nittany Lions hosted one of their top in-state targets on Wednesday as Harrison City (Pa.) Penn-Trafford offensive lineman Luke Graham was in State College.  Graham and his father - a Penn State graduate - visited together.

“My dad showed me around,” Graham said.  “He showed me his old stomping grounds.  I got to see what it’s like with the students walking around.”

The 6-foot-6 and 255-pound Graham also spent time with the Penn State coaching staff.

“I met up with (Penn State assistant) Coach (Tom) Bradley,” Graham said.  “He showed me things my dad missed.  I met up with the other coaches.  And I sat in on an offensive line meeting.”

Graham has scholarship offers from Penn State, Pitt, Maryland, Illinois, Northwestern, Duke and Florida International.  He left State College without making a commitment.

“I’m going to visit some other schools now,” Graham said.  “I’ll probably take a look at Pitt.  They (recently) offered and so did Northwestern.  I might go to Maryland for a visit.”

Graham will also likely be back in State College for the Penn State spring game.

Though Graham would not name a favorite, it seems safe to say the Nittany Lions don’t trail anyone.  He says he wants to stay close to home and plans to announce his college choice before the start of his senior football season.

“I want to be proactive,” Graham said.  “But I don’t want to make the wrong decision.”

Graham has started at right tackle for Penn-Trafford since the beginning of his sophomore season.  He did not allow a sack during his junior season. Graham will likely move to guard in college.
