Wilkins gives update at NIKE Combine

Two years ago, Washington (Pa.) Trinity linebacker Mike Yancich signed with Penn State and linebacker Andrew Sweat signed with Ohio State.  Trinity Coach Ed Dalton says junior linebacker/defensive end Kenny Wilkins is physically more talented than either Yancich or Sweat.

The Nittany Lions have not offered Wilkins a scholarship to this point, but they are interested.

The 6-foot-3 and 230-pound Wilkins made 33 solo tackles and had 51 assists during his junior season.  He registered 7 sacks, batted down three passes and recovered two fumbles.

Wilkins has scholarship offers from Pitt, Illinois, Minnesota, Maryland, Cincinnati, Boston College and North Carolina State.

Wilkins attended the NIKE Combine in Pittsburgh on Saturday and NittanyNetwork.com was on hand to cover it.  Here is NN’s exclusive Wilkins video interview, with compliments to our friends at ScoutingOhio.com:
