Quarterback Anthony Gonzalez from Bethlehem (Pa.) Liberty, who has a scholarship offer from the Nittany Lions, visited Penn State on Saturday.  The visit went well and Gonzalez remains interested in PSU.

Gonzalez, who visited Pitt on Friday, was not alone on the trip.  Also visiting both schools was teammate Jarrod West.

The 6-foot-3 and 195-pound West was a top target for Gonzalez last season.  He caught 26 passes for close to 400 yards and a touchdown.

West has not landed a scholarship offer from the Nittany Lions yet, but he has their attention as well as several scholarship offers.

“I have four offers,” West said.  “Maryland, Northwestern, Vanderbilt and Stanford have offered.”

This past weekend was the first time West has visited Penn State.

“It was really nice,” he said.  “It’s beautiful there.  The facilities are nice.  I got to talk to Joe Paterno.  Penn State is all about football.”

West plans to attend a spring practice session at Maryland and Northwestern’s spring game on April 25.

In addition to Penn State and Pitt, West has also visited Vanderbilt.

When asked who his favorite would be, West said, “That’s tough to say.  They are all about the same right now.”
