Defensive lineman Dominique Easley is one of the top prospects in the Empire State.  The 6-foot-3 and 260-pounder from Staten Island (N.Y.) Curtis has led his team to a 21-2 record over the past two seasons.

Easley has played defensive end, defensive tackle and linebacker over the past two seasons.  He will play either defensive end or tackle in college.

Easley has scholarship offers from Penn State, Michigan, Rutgers, Syracuse, Boston College, Texas Tech, Tennessee, Maryland, Oregon, Duke and Connecticut.

“All of my offers are in writing,” Easley said.

Easley has visited Penn State and Florida this spring, with his visit to State College recently.

“About two weeks ago I went to a junior day at Penn State,” Easley said.  “I went with three of my coaches.  I went out there on a Saturday and they offered (a scholarship) the following Monday.  Then I got a written offer.”

While in State College, Easley watched the Nittany Lions practice.

“I liked it,” he said.  “It was real intense.”

Easley also was in State College during the football season.  He attended the Penn State-Michigan State game.

“Most definitely I’ll get back out there,” Easley said.

Easley said he does not have a favorite.  He hopes to select a college sometime during the summer.

Easley made 49 tackles including eight sacks during his sophomore season. He recovered two fumbles and returned one for a touchdown as Curtis went 13-0 and won the city championship.

His junior season Easley made 51 tackles including 10 sacks as Curtis finished with an 8-2 record.  Easley recovered two fumbles and returned both for touchdowns.
