Inside linebacker Khairi Fortt (Stamford, Conn.) was - without question - one of the stars of the NIKE Football Training Camp at Penn State on Saturday.  The 6-foot-2 and 225-pound Fortt passed the ‘look test,’ then went out and showed on the field why he is considered one of the country’s elite linebacker prospects.

Fortt, who plays one of the two inside linebacker positions in his team’s 4-4 defense, made 118 tackles, forced five fumbles and intercepted two passes during his junior season.

College coaches from all over the country are showing interest in Fortt.  He already has over a dozen scholarship offers including Penn State, Ohio State, Notre Dame, California, Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina, Boston College, Tennessee, Rutgers, Syracuse, Connecticut and Duke.

Fortt has visited Penn State, Notre Dame, Connecticut, Rutgers, Maryland, Virginia, California and Boston College.  He has been to Penn State multiple times.

Nittany Network caught up with Fortt on Saturday for a video interview just before the talented linebacker got started at the camp.  In the interview Fortt talks about his interest in Penn State and reveals how highly ranked the Nittany Lions are on his list.

NOTE: The video includes of highlights Fortt in action on Saturday in State College. Be sure to watch after the interview as Nittany Network got a chance to see how impressive Fortt is going through drills.
