Wide receiver Kenny Stills from Encinitas (Calif.) LaCosta Canyon said in late February he wants to leave the West Coast for college.  However, with several new scholarship offers, that may no longer be the case.

“I have about 12 or 13 offers now,” Stills said.  “USC offered on Wednesday.  Other than that I have UCLA, New Mexico State, Arizona, Arizona State, Washington, Colorado, Boise State, Penn State, Stanford and San Diego State.”

When asked about his offer from the Trojans, Stills said, “We had been in contact, then they finally decided I’m what they needed.”

Stills said he has no favorites and wants to take his official visits before selecting a college.

“I’ve been to Stanford, USC and San Diego State,” he said.  “In the next few months, I’ll pick out some more schools to visit.”

Penn State is one of the schools Stills wants to see.

“I’ve never been there,” he said.  “I can’t wait to get out there and see it.  We’ve been going back and forth with e-mails.  I think they are coming out this week.”

The 6-foot-2 and 175-pound Stills was a part-time starter during his sophomore season, but still put up big-time numbers.  He caught 42 passes and averaged 24 yards per reception.

Stills became his team’s No. 1 receiver his junior season and caught 68 passes for almost 1,400 yards and 16 touchdowns.  He averaged 19 yards per catch.
